We lost you five years ago today. Everything I start to type, I erase. There still aren't words for the anger and pain. It still hurts. I still blame myself, the Marine Corps, the VA, our country for not doing enough to take care of him when he returned from war.

Thinking of all of them, their sacrifices, missing their families, sleeping on the ground, to the very painful, tear jerking, heart wrenching emotional wrath of war, why do we do so little to see to them after that? What does the way we've done things compare to the way we should?

Rest In Peace, Cpl. Adam Lee Johnston. I promised his mom, Becky that I'd never forget him and I never will. Never! 😢

***ROB AND HARLEY UPDATE***

I just heard from Rob. Harley is 100% healed up!!! She just took her last test!

Thank you so much to everyone that helped them with donations. You just don't know how much it means to Rob and me. You helped him so much!!! Thank you, thank you!

🌟Update on Harley🌟

THANK YOU everyone for your help with our girl! Here's an update from Rob, Harley's veteran:

"Update on my Harley.....she is coming home. Have to bring her back Wed for final test to double check kidneys.

I want to thank every one that donated. $1200 bill and only $250 came out of my pocket. I can not begin to express my gratitude for all of the prayers and donation, definitely was worried about how I was going to pay. From the bottom of my heart I thank you."

One of our alumni needs help! Harley belongs to one of our Texas trainers, a Marine from 3/5. Harley is in the hospital after ingesting something toxic. We're hoping she'll be released Monday if all her labs look good, but she's being monitored for liver, kidney and stomach functions in the meantime. As all pet owners know, the vet bills add up quickly! We'd appreciate any donations towards Harley's veterinarian bills. The veterinarian office is willing to accept donations directly! The office information is listed on the business card in the photo attached. They are open tomorrow from 9am-1pm and then reopen Monday 9am-6pm. Thank you for all your love and support! 🐶

🌟Service Dog Spotlight🌟
Meet Zoe! Zoe is a 5 1/2 year old German Shepherd/Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix, believe it or not, lol. She was found wandering train tracks in Long Beach with her sister almost 5 years ago. Both her and her sister were placed with veterans and are working service dogs! Here's what Zoe's veteran has to say about her:
Zoe is not only my person, but she's my wife's, too! She has picked up on her diabetes, so now pulls double duty. She's been a hard working service dog for 4 years now and has no intention of slowing down, despite her own health issues. Zoe has severe environmental allergies, food allergies, stomach issues and requires daily medication and injections. She is also partially blind in one eye. But she's still the hardest worker in our home and is just the biggest blessing to us!

Hank is a mini Australian Cattle Dog mix....and a lady! Another rescue one of our veterans was lucky enough to find. Perfect mix of cuteness and attitude! Here's what Hank's veteran has to say about her:
She's 2 years old, a whopping 26 pounds. I found her in a box at about 6 weeks old. She had worms, was covered in fleas and had goopy eyes. She hasn't stopped moving since I found her.
