In the last 6 days we have rescued over 6,000 pounds of food from the local restaurant community and provided 1,873 meals to locals in need! Hello Community! 200 meals just went out the door to support the Oceanside Homeless Resource! As funding allows, we are currently preparing packaged ready-to-eat meals to support local seniors, people experiencing homelessness, and otherwise food insecure individuals including children participating in free/reduced lunch programming. Meals created are provided free of charge to individuals in need.

We are currently working to secure funding but please consider donating now to help us get food out to those in need.

The South O'side Garden Concert on Saturday September 28th is from 2-6 at South O Elementary. This year’s music lineup includes, Shane Hall, Nathan James, Chris Torres with special guest Ron Blair from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Mariachi music. There’ll be garden tours, shopping in the mercado, flavorful South O food, lively music and so much more! Tickets are $10.00. Tehya Foussat began in 2007 while she was still in middle school with the purpose of raising funds to increase awareness and support educational programs concerning Spina Bifida. In 2013, she launched her “Tenderness Totes” program and was eager to join other community based organizations already supporting her and her mission.

each contain basic necessities to sustain life for people experiencing homelessness or anyone in need. These pre-assembled tote bags contain food, water, and toiletries and are designed to be stored in a vehicle and given to a person in need at a moment’s notice.

Each tote also contains an inspirational message of hope for the recipient that was created by a Tehyathon volunteer or a Spina Bifida patient. Additionally, contact and resource information for shelters and community service organizations are printed on the back of each card. These "Tote Notes" make our survival packs unique and make each recipient feel special.

Funds raised by Tehyathon are used to purchase contents for each tote, although donations of the actual contents are also very much appreciated.

Currently, drop off locations are located at: Jitters Coffee Pub Stage & Screen FX Liz Saldana, Broker NuPacifica Realty and Living Tea
