OK, folks, there are only FOUR (4) days until the Oceanport Sports Foundation's FIFTH Annual Holiday Charity Food and Wine Tasting at Branches Catering, from 6 pm to 10 pm, on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Did you feel that tingle when you read that line? We've issued over 500 tickets to the event, but we're still looking to sell more tickets. In fact, we sold 8 more this morning. If you've already been to one of the OSF's previous galas, you know that we've got the best food, wine, beer, desserts and prizes ever made available on a Thursday night in December. For those of you who haven't been to one of these events, this isn't a "sit down at a table" affair. Rather, think of it as a really upscale, indoor tailgate party for 500 people who like good food, quality drinks and great conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. Then, instead of a football game, you participate in a prize drawing for sports tickets, vacation spots, 2014 Haskell Day privileges, Coach products, iMacs, iPads and a whole host of other great prizes. Now that I think about it, it is more like an old time Fireman's Fair, but the dress code is "casual, but neat" and there are no rides or money wheels. The best part is that you can still get tickets even though the time to mail your ticket request into the OSF's P.O. Box has probably expired.
