Even through the pain, we are grateful for the opportunity to walk with the people who have been initiated into this club call Grief. None of us asked for this but we are transformed by it to become the most compassionate people because of the devastation.
Nobody wanted to be here. Nobody woke up one morning and decided to join the grief club. There was no sign-up sheet. No choice. Just a moment that changed everything and suddenly you were in. This is the worst club in the world. The price of entry is unbearable and the membership lasts forever. But the people inside it are different from anyone else you will ever meet. They do not rush you. They do not fix you. They do not tell you to move on. They just sit with you because they know exactly what sitting alone in this feels like. You never wanted to be here. Neither did any of us. But here we are. 🤍
