29 years ago, my Mom and I planted a little magnolia tree in our backyard. Today, it’s not so little anymore. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Earth Day than to plant a tree. It’s a wonderful way to make memories with your family and is a long-term investment in the environment and in the only place we call home. 🌎🌳

The Ocean Springs Environmental Alliance transformed the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center lawn into an outdoor classroom with educational booths ahead of Earth Day on April 22, inviting children and adults to learn practical ways to protect the planet.

The free event offered hands-on, youth-focused activities designed to teach the next generation how to care for the environment and keep it healthy.
