Safe Boating Starts With You!
Before you head out to enjoy our beautiful Ocean Shores waterways, take a moment to make sure you – and your passengers – are prepared for a safe day on the water.

***Wear your life jacket – It’s the simplest and most effective way to stay safe!
***Check the weather – Conditions can change quickly on the coast.
***Know your route – Be aware of water levels, currents, and navigation rules.
***Avoid alcohol – Stay alert and focused.
***Carry safety gear – Flares, whistle, flashlight, and a charged phone or radio.

Show us a photo of your boat, yacht, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, pedal boat, or however you get out on the water!

Spring is here at Chinook Park — and the dog park is calling!
Longer days, fresh blooms, and wagging tails make this the perfect time to enjoy the Dog Park at Chinook Park. Whether your pup loves to run, socialize, or just soak up the sunshine, there’s no better place to be this season!

But we know we can make it even better — and that’s where YOU come in.

We’re forming a Dog Park Advisory Committee to help shape the future of this space. From ideas for new features to helping guide improvements, your voice can make a real difference for our four-legged friends and the community.

Happy Earth Day from the Ocean Shores Parks & Conservation Foundation! 🌿🌎

Today is a reminder that the natural beauty we enjoy every day depends on all of us.

From peaceful walks along our local trails to watching wildlife thrive in protected habitats, Ocean Shores is a place worth caring for. And every small action adds up:
🌱 Pick up litter when you see it
🌊 Protect our waterways
🌳 Respect wildlife and natural spaces
💚 Support local conservation efforts

At the OSPCF, we’re committed to preserving and enhancing these spaces for generations to come. Whether it’s improving park access, supporting recreation, or protecting our environment, your support makes a difference.

This Earth Day, we invite you to take a moment outside, appreciate the beauty around you, and consider how you can help keep Ocean Shores thriving.

🌼 Want to get involved? Visit www.ospcf.org to learn more or support our mission.

We are excited to partner with the Ocean Shores Library to launch Pickleball 4 All — making it easier than ever for everyone to get out and play. We've donated two sets of pickleball equipment available to check out — just like a book! Borrow paddles and balls, head to the new courts at Emerson Park, and give the game a try.

It’s all about removing barriers, getting active, and bringing our community together.

Stop by the library to check out your gear and start playing!

Share this post and tag your potential pickleball partners.
