(August 31, 2026) The Worcester County Chamber of Commerce in Ocean Pines held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, August 28, to celebrate the opening of the new Bottle Shop at the Ocean Pines Yacht Club.

Despite a heavy downpour, the event drew a strong turnout. Attendees included members of the Ocean Pines Board of Directors, General Manager John Viola, Worcester County Chamber of Commerce members, Maryland Delegate Wayne Hartman, Touch of Italy owner and Ocean Pines Yacht Club Manager Bob Ciprietti, and several community members and guests.

The new Bottle Shop offers a variety of liquors, wines and spirits, including a featured Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that was hand-selected by Touch of Italy.

“We spent a month hand-picking the Buffalo Trace whiskey, and we’re proud to offer it in the new Bottle Shop,” Ciprietti said.

General Manager John Viola also commended Touch of Italy for the hard work that went into opening the new shop.

“The Bottle Shop is a great addition to Ocean Pines, and I’m excited to see this new venture take off,” Viola said.
