Eastern Shore T1 Diabetic Support Foundation (EST1DSF)

Founded in April 2020, the Eastern Shore T1 Diabetic Support Foundation (EST1DSF) was created to support families living with Type 1 Diabetes across the Delmarva Peninsula. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) and non-medical family support group, our mission is simple: no family should face Type 1 Diabetes alone.
What We Do:
• Bring T1D families together throughout the year for support, connection, and community
• Host fun activities where parents and kids can meet others who truly understand the T1D journey
• Keep 100% of funds raised on the Eastern Shore to directly support our local families
• Serve families from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel
Camp Possibilities Support:
Each year we help local kids attend Camp Possibilities, a life-changing summer camp for children and teens with Type 1 Diabetes.
This past year we proudly provided:
• Camp sponsorships for 9 children
• Support for 3 staff members
• 30 brand-new fishing poles
• 9,000 glucose tabs
• Art barn supplies, carnival prizes, popsicles for the entire camp, and snacks for staff
We believe in supporting those who support our children.
Scholarships:
Five years ago, we launched a high school scholarship program for graduating T1D students continuing their education at college or trade school. To date, we have awarded $28,000 in scholarships.
Who We Serve:
EST1DSF serves families across the entire Delmarva Peninsula - from bridge to bridge. From family to family. From diagnosis to daily life. We are here, and we are in this together.
