A New Chapter for Shepherd’s Crook
Did you know that Shepherd’s Crook is just one part of the outreach ministries at St. Paul’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church?
Through our Outreach Ministries we:
Serve hardy hot meals five days a week
Operate a food pantry four days a week
Host a monthly community dinner with a meat and grocery giveaway
And, when needed, offer temporary tent shelter on our church property for neighbors who have nowhere else to go
This work has always been rooted in the life of our church and in our shared calling.
Our call here at St. Paul’s By-the-Sea is to love God and serve the world—to walk alongside our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and presence. As Episcopalians, we believe that following Jesus means showing up in our community, breaking bread together, welcoming the stranger, and honoring the sacred worth of every person. Outreach is not something we do on the side; it is central to who we are as the Church.
For that reason, we will be closing the Shepherd’s Crook page and sharing all updates, stories, and announcements through our main St. Paul’s By-the-Sea page.
After all, our ministry does not operate outside of who we are as a church—it is who we are as followers of Jesus
This is not the end of Shepherd’s Crook. It is simply a way of telling one unified story of faith, service, and community.
👉 Please follow St. Paul’s By-the-Sea page to stay connected with our meals, food pantry, community dinners, and the ways we continue to walk alongside our neighbors.
All are welcome. All are fed.All belong.
