The Occidental Community Choir presents Postcards, a spring concert celebrating connection through songs that capture moments of memory, hope, and shared humanity.

This season's theme is a reminder that even in difficult times, music can help us reach across distance and say something simple and powerful: you matter, you are connected, and you are not alone.

Songs around the campfire at Walker Creek Ranch! Every season we gather for a weekend to deep dive into our songs, learn a bit about music, and get to know each other. For the first time in 7 years we returned to Walker Creek Ranch to camp out! Our choir started around a campfire and it was practically magic to hear everyone’s song.

We’ve got just ONE MONTH until our concerts begin! We’re so excited to share what we’ve been working on. Join our email list to get exclusive info and fun tidbits. First and second weekends of May/December!

The tortoise and the hare have it out again in this high-energy composition by Darmon Meader.

A good lesson to keep in mind: fast and reckless will not get you glory!

$25 per person, kids are free! Join us in Occidental, Tomales, and Santa Rosa for an uplifting concert of contemporary & folk music, spoken word, poetry, and locally composed music. “Light in the Darkness” is about seeking and creating light when the world feels dim.

It’s about music as a lantern: something we carry together, passing its glow from one heart to another. Our program will take us through moments of stillness, struggle, wonder, and celebration with each song as an ember that can ignite hope. This season’s music will remind us that even in the longest night, the promise of dawn is real.
