Job Description
Purpose
To fix and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and air conditioning system maintenance. To provide a pleasant outdoor environment by ensuring that the grounds of the office and restaurants are attractive, orderly, and healthy.
Supervision Received and Executed
Reports directly to Brad Harper, President and Upper Management
Essential Job Functions
Oversee maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures, and hardscape walkways
Remove tree limbs, overgrowth, and other hazards
Ensure outdoor furniture, décor, and lighting is maintained and good working order
Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, sprinklers, etc.
Must have a cellphone that has an active service and a voicemail setup.
Must have reasonable and reliable transportation to carry out job duties.
Must have valid Driver’s License, that is in good standing.
To always be approachable, coachable and have a positive attitude.
Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance.
Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
Understand how to read a tape measure
Comfortable working with restaurant equipment
Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Able to work independently
Must be able to operate lawn maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.
Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Eye for detail.
Professional presentation and attitude
Working Conditions
Essential job functions may require maintaining physical conditions necessary for outstanding, walking or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Often wear protective attire, such as work gloves, hard hats, leather aprons, back support, and sturdy boots.
Usually work indoors, but may on occasion work outdoors repairing foundations and exteriors.
Work in hazardous situations or with hazardous equipment weekly. Injuries are possible from electrical shocks, cuts, or falls.
Are often exposed to machine sounds and noises that are distracting and uncomfortable.
Work with contaminants often such as oils, solvents, and paints.
May be exposed to very hot or cold temperatures weekly.
Enter cramped work places monthly that require getting into awkward positions.
Are sometimes in high places such as roofs or on ladders.
Work in conditions of bright or inadequate lighting weekly.
May work near others.
