💜 Every life has a story, and the Love, Logan Foundation is making sure Logan’s story continues to save lives.
The Love, Logan Foundation was created by Rick and Erin Rachwal after the heartbreaking loss of their 19-year-old son, Logan, to fentanyl poisoning on Valentine's Day 2021. Rather than allowing their grief to define them, they turned their pain into purpose by launching the foundation in 2022 to educate families, schools, and communities about the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills.
Today, the Love, Logan Foundation travels across the country sharing Logan’s story, providing fentanyl awareness education, advocating for mental health and substance use education, supporting families impacted by fentanyl poisoning, and working to end the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health struggles. Their message is simple but powerful: education and awareness save lives.

🚨 Fentanyl Facts Everyone Should Know 🚨
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can be up to 50 times stronger than he**in and 100 times stronger than morphine. Many counterfeit pills and illegal drugs may contain fentanyl, and there is no way to see, smell, or taste it. What may look like a legitimate prescription pill could contain a deadly dose.

⚠️ Know the signs of an overdose:
• Pinpoint pupils
• Unconsciousness or inability to wake up
• Slow, weak, or no breathing
• Choking or gurgling sounds
• Cold, clammy, or discolored skin

🆘 If you suspect an overdose:
1️⃣ Call 911 immediately
2️⃣ Administer naloxone (Narcan) if available
3️⃣ Keep the person awake and breathing
4️⃣ Lay them on their side to prevent choking
5️⃣ Stay with them until emergency responders arrive

One conversation, one shared post, or one moment of awareness could save a life. Please take a few minutes to learn the facts and talk with the young people in your life about the dangers of fentanyl.

🚨 Did You Know? Nitrous Oxide misuse is becoming a growing concern among youth.
Often called "laughing gas," "whippets," or "NOS," nitrous oxide can be found in everyday products like whipped cream chargers and aerosol cans. While some may view it as harmless, misuse can have serious and even deadly consequences.
Short-term effects can include hallucinations, loss of coordination, and heart failure. Long-term use can lead to permanent nerve damage, memory loss, hearing loss, depression, and damage to the brain and spinal cord.
Parents, caregivers, and community members: knowing the facts is the first step in prevention. Talk with the young people in your life about the risks of experimenting with inhalants and other substances.
