We have caring advocates available 24 hrs/ 365 days/ 7 days a week to assist you in getting the help you need. Founded in 1975 with 11 dedicated volunteers, the center/shelter (Creative Services) has expanded over the years to meet the needs of domestic violence and r**e survivors.

Our professional and volunteer staff conducts a complete counseling, assistance, safe housing, and referral program. We work with many other community agencies to provide the best possible services to each family that comes to us. The most pressing need of the battered woman and her children is a safe place to stay. We have a 60+ bed shelter where the abused woman and her children can go to be safe from further harm and find the emotional and practical support to begin to rebuild a safer, happier life.

General information

SHELTER: FREE Emergency shelter for female victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and their children. Victim Advocates are available to discuss and help achieve weekly goals set by the victim/survivor. Shelter stay is up to 12 weeks. OUTREACH COUNSELING: FREE Individual counseling for male and female victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Counseling also available for children effected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault. During these sessions, safety plans, coping skills, self confidence and boundaries will be discussed. GROUP COUNSELING: Available for victims/survivors of sexual assault. Meets every week. COURT ADVOCACY: FREE for victims/survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Court Advocates can help victims/survivors go through the courts with criminal and/or civil issues, domestic violence battery charges, help file restraining orders, help with filling out divorce paperwork, custody, visitation, and child support issues in family courts every week. Advocates are also available to help file for relocation assistance. The Legal Aid group is also available depending on eligibility. R**E VICTIMS : Nurse practitioners on call 24 hrs a day to perform r**e examinations on site at the domestic violence/sexual assault center.

CALLING ALL DONORS!!! 😀😀 WE NEED YOUR HELP! We have a woman in our shelter who is due To have a baby boy ANY DAY!! SHE LEFT WITH NOTHING!! We are desperatly trying to help her get the big things. We were able to help her get baby clothes & bottles, etc but she still needs the following: - infant baby carrier (she has 2 toddlers to chase after so she will need this)*** - infant car seat WITH BASE (not expired)*** - pack n play with bassinet top or just a plain bassinet Pictures included are just examples of what she needs. New or gently used items are preferred. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us help support this survivor in her desperate time of need. We wouldn't be able to do what we do for our survivors without the help & support of our awesome community!!❤❤ AND REMEMBER all donations are tax deductible.
