Kimberly's Center for Child Protection Our community working together to protect, serve, and advocate for Marion County's abused and neglected children

When a report of child abuse/neglect is reported to Law Enforcement or Deparment of Children and Families (DCF), the staff of Kimberly's Center Child Protection Team are then contacted, whenever appropriate, to provide services, essentially working as consultants to DCF and LE (Law Enforcement). Some of the services provided by Kimberly's Center are -

- Crisis Intervention Counseling
- Theraputic Supervised Visitations
- Medical Examinations/Consultations
- Forensic Interviews
- Specialized Interviews/Social Assessments
- One With Courage
- Community Trainings/Presentations

Awareness starts with conversations, community, and people willing to make a difference.

This October, we’re grateful to the Family Violence Prevention Workgroup at the Marion County Children’s Alliance for the work they do to promote awareness and prevention of domestic violence in our community. Thank you for gifting Kimberly’s Center a pinwheel garden as a beautiful reminder of the importance of bringing awareness to this issue.

Our specialized therapists work with children who have experienced abuse, helping them understand that what happened was never their fault, rebuilding their confidence, and restoring their hope for the future.
Healing takes time. It takes support. And it takes care from people who understand.

Our Prevention Team is back in the classroom!

The team recently visited Sunrise Elementary and Osceola Middle School to connect with students and provide the evidence-based Child Safety Matters curriculum, focused on helping children recognize unsafe situations, understand healthy boundaries and know that they can speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

We’re looking forward to another school year of bringing prevention education directly to students and helping build safer communities, one classroom at a time.
