OTTB: GIFT FROM ABOVE
RRP ELIGIBLE
AMATEUR AND JUNIOR PROSPECT

wanted to share a quick update regarding Gift, who arrived safely from Gulfstream Racetrack on October 19.

Today, we took him off-farm to school and jump. He handled everything remarkably well with no prior preparation needed. Because we have owned him since he was a yearling and he has spent over a year in our professional training program, we know he is exceptionally brave, confident, and well-prepared for any new challenge. That said, given his solid foundation, we generally advise against skipping prep work with a typical horse fresh off the track.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like further updates on his progress.

Gift From Above ("Gift"), a 16.1-hand, 3-year-old gelding by Gift Box, who is currently available in Ocala, FL. Offered in the mid-to-low four-figure range, he is sound, barefoot, has no vices, and possesses excellent ground manners. Given his sweet temperament, intelligence, and willing attitude, he would make an exceptional, amateur-friendly prospect or junior horse.

Gift has been in our personal care since he was a yearling and has completed a year in our professional training program. Before ever visiting the racetrack—where he only started once—he received extensive groundwork, desensitization, and basic dressage training. He comfortably navigates ring work (including 15- and 20-meter circles and figure eights), understands rider aids, knows simple lead changes, trails rides comfortably, and is unfazed by tarps, flags, traffic, or other horses. Returned to our farm on October 19, he was ridden the following day in a simple snaffle with zero prep work and performed wonderfully.

For complete transparency regarding his recent scratch at Gulfstream Park, he was passed by the main HISA vet the morning of the race, but was scratched at the post after fighting his tongue tie. Upon bringing him home, we noted he had been in the same shoes for seven weeks, causing minor sole pressure. We have since pulled his shoes, and he has adjusted well and remains fully sound, as confirmed by our evaluations, the previous trainer, rider, and vet.

PPE examinations are fully welcomed. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a time to see Gift in person, please feel free contact me directly at (267) 408-3434

Arrived from racetrack on the October 19 !!
No prep and first time schooling in a ring and first time jumping!!!
I would never try this with a OTTB except , I know he’s an old soul that is so confident.
