Brick City Brewers Homebrewers Club
Founded in 2010
Ocala's Original Homebrew club Brick City Brewers is a homebrewing club located in Ocala, Florida.

We have more than 40 active members and meet monthly at a rotating list of local breweries and tap houses. Two of our founding members have gone on to launch their own breweries: Lucas Frank - owner of Hiatus Brewing, Jason Delaney - owner of Big Hammock Brewery & Bites, both located in Ocala. We support numerous beer festivals throughout the year to help raise money for charities and also put on

a brewing demonstration each year for National Homebrew Day in November! Check out our event list for our next club meeting or festival and come visit us to see what we are all about!!

Hi Friends, here are the next set of club meeting dates and locations. PLEASE NOTE: The July meeting date has changed to JULY 12TH to avoid conflicting with the Fourth of July holiday. Non-members, come check us out and see if you would like to join! Our club has a lot to offer if you want to learn how to homebrew beer, wine, or mead!

National Homebrew Day a/k/a Big Brew Day is a homebrew event traditionally held nationwide on the first Saturday in May. Our club had a conflict with that date, so we held our event on June 8th at the home of our president. Eight brewers participated, bringing a variety of equipment to brew one of two recipes – 2024’s Dagobah Dunkel or 2026’s Monk’s Ration Trappist-Style Single. We had a blast! We ate, mingled, sweated (it was HOT!), and learned brewing tips and tricks from our friends. Enjoy the photos!

Congratulations to Brick City Brewers' member Josh Willard! Josh won Gold at the National Homebrew Competition in Ashville, NC, for his 'Tropic Like It's Hot' Tropical Sour. Josh placed first out of 90 entries in the Fruit Beer category. Way to go Josh!

We can't wait to see which of our members brews the most drinkable porter recipe! Members were required to use the same ingredients and amounts of those ingredients… but how to use and choice of yeast was up to the brewer. Watch for results tomorrow evening! Or join us at Midtown Station!

Brick City Fans, we ran short on time this week to let you know what we'll be pouring at tomorrow's Brick City Beer & Wine Festival! So we are posting photos of our menu board that will be displayed during the festival tomorrow. Numbers 1-16 will be available tomorrow until they run out. Our Limited Releases will be offered at the noted times. Line up early because they will go fast!
