After relocating to Ocala from New Jersey, Vicki Forcone, Sr. HR Manager at FairPlay Sports Media, joined SHRM Greater Ocala to find the same sense of community and professional connection she valued throughout her HR career. She quickly found a welcoming network of local HR professionals who share a passion for supporting people and one another.

One of the greatest benefits Vicki has gained from membership is building relationships with like-minded professionals who can learn, grow, and support each other throughout their careers.

Her advice for those starting out in HR: Don't wait until you feel 100% confident before taking action. In a constantly evolving field, confidence grows through experience.

Fun fact: Vicki's love of cake decorating started with childhood battles over the slice with the frosting flower—and today, she creates beautiful floral cakes as a creative hobby! 🎂🌸

As SHRM Greater Ocala’s Workforce Co-Chair, Denise brings passion, energy, and a people-first approach to the HR profession. A highly motivated bilingual HR professional, she enjoys building connections, strengthening employer brands, and matching talented candidates with opportunities where they can grow and make a meaningful impact.

Denise believes that “HR plays a vital role in supporting people and advancing organizational success,” a philosophy that guides her work and commitment to the HR community.

As SHRM Greater Ocala’s Workforce Co-Chair, Jeanne brings more than a decade of experience in talent acquisition, HR, and leadership. In her role as Talent Acquisition Manager at RealTruck, she is passionate about connecting talented individuals with opportunities, building strong teams, and using data-driven strategies to support business success.

A longtime Ocala resident, Jeanne enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, their four children, and grandson. Whether she’s volunteering, serving on her church’s worship team, exploring the outdoors, or making memories with family at Disney, Jeanne is deeply committed to her community and helping others thrive.

🌟 Member Spotlight: Lorin Fesler

Lorin is an HR Manager at Hughes Brothers Construction, Inc. and an active member of SHRM Greater Ocala. She joined to connect with other HR professionals in blue-collar industries and continue expanding her knowledge in the ever-evolving world of HR.

One of the biggest benefits she’s gained? Our monthly luncheons, where she’s been able to learn practical, real-world strategies from guest speakers and bring those insights back to her team.

Her advice for those starting in HR: never stop learning. Whether you’re new to the field or years in, there’s always something to gain from networking, education, and staying open to new perspectives.

Fun fact: Lorin spent five years living in Okinawa, Japan and would gladly move back!
