Finds Fellowship Food

Hey Y'all! We could really use a few large coolers for the weekend. If you have an extra cooler you can bring, that we can borrow for the weekend, can you please post here. Thank you! We are getting plans finalized and will post updates soon. We look forward to seeing everyone next month.

In the morning, starting at 8am, there will be a minion in the parking lot handing out the list of your targets for the day, drive through style. No need to get out of your car, just grab and go. Be sure to read the instructions!

•We will not be serving food this year. To prevent crowding, the pavilion will be closed off. Please bring your own lunch, drinks, and camping chairs. Remember social distancing!
•Because of COVID, we cannot offer camping at the event site this year. This is a one day event. There are private campgrounds and hotels nearby if you would like to stay the weekend.
•Since we are outdoors masks will be encouraged, but not required. Keep mindful of social distancing. We will have a few bottles of hand sanitizer around. We are all adults and expected to be clean and polite. The Minions really don’t want to nag you, we wanna have fun too!
•Dogs are allowed at the event site this year. ALL DOGS (pets, emotional support animals, and service animals) must be kept on a 6 foot leash at all times while with in the campground and parking lot. You will be expected to clean up after your pet.
•There are a couple of water faucets at the event site, but no electricity at all. Be sure your devices are fully charged up before you arrive.
•Since we were not sure if we would be able to host FFF this year (due to stupid COVID....boooooo) we did not have our normal FFF items produced. No worries, we got creative and do have some FFF goodies to find and/or win.
•We will have some awesome fundraiser raffle items available. Tickets will be available for sale at the event.
• Bring a pre-washed white cotton apparel item for extra credit ;)
•Remember to bring your activated trackables with zero miles to enter the 2020-2021 travel bug race.
•The event log book with be on the table with the discoverable trackables. Please take a moment to sign it. You can also bring trackables for discovery. Do not remove any trackables from this table, unless they are yours. These are for discovery only.

There are millions of geocaches worldwide, just waiting for you to find them. There are probably even some within walking distance of where you are right now. Visit Geocaching.com to see just how many geocaches are nearby and to learn how to start finding them.

We have waited as long as we could. We really wanted to continue with our normal 4 day weekend full of fun for everyone in the local geocaching community. We are very sad to announce we will be postponing FFF2020. The campground is still closed, permitting offices are still closed, vendors are still closed, and regulations are changing to frequently for us to be able to reliably plan a multi-day event. We are considering April/May, as our traditional October, dates for 2021. We will not be able to make any decisions until the campground reopens and we are able to coordinate with the ranger to see what dates are available next year. We are also being mindful of other nearby events in the same time frame and hunting dates. We promise to let you all know out 2021 date as soon as we are able to secure it. It is likely going to be a little while until we are able to do so.

In the mean time, we do have an idea for a one day "mini-fest" of sorts to bring to you in October. We have a few nearby options for location. My hope is within the next couple of weeks we will have an area secured for this event. We will bring you updates as soon as we have confirmations. We are taking into considerations current safety and sanitation recommendations to keep everyone as safe of possible. Many of us, myself included, are getting quite stir crazy.

Any info shared elsewhere is speculation. We will post updates here as soon as we have confirmations and finalized decisions. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and REALLY hope to be able to bring you some spirited FFF fun this year. The entire team of minions have come up with a REALLY cool theme and have been continuing to work hard on it these past many months despite not knowing if they would be able to share all the fun with you this year. The mini-fest will be taste of what is to come........

We know the taco bar was a HUGE hit this year. Please share your "make your own" bar ideas for Saturday dinner. We would like to do something similar again next year.

We got a local feature! 🤩

I knew this was not going to be easy for pictures. The geocachers were out hunting for said geocaches through out the Ocala National Forest but their base of operations for this 3-day event was the Ocala Conservation Center on Lake Eaton.
