Pilot Club of Ocala meets monthly at 10:00am on the third Saturday at Holder Insurance.

The Pilot Club of Ocala received a Matching Grant from Pilot International for our "Fidget Item" Project. We received $1351.00 and matched that amount to fund this project. We provided 12 different items to 11 Memory Care Facilities in Ocala for the Alzheimer's residents to enjoy.

Pilot's International mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world. To do this we come together in friendship and service, focusing on encouraging brain safety and health and supporting those who care for others.

If you are interested in learning more about the Pilot Club of Ocala and looking for a way to give back, please let us know. We would enjoy the opportunity to meet you and tell you more. We are always looking for new members who wish to join a great organization of friendship and service to make an impact not only in our local community, but within our state and world.

As a result of receiving a Pick Me Up Grant from Pilot International, the Pilot Club of Ocala members hosted a Pizza Party Lunch for the Caregivers/Social Workers at Kid Central on May 8th at the close of their training class. These Social Workers take care of and help the kiddos in the Ocala area get placed with foster families when they are removed from their homes for any reason. We had a great time serving and meeting all of these special caregivers!

Thanks to Marcos Pizza in Ocala for opening early to make our pizzas and getting them delivered early and to Isaiah 117 House for connecting us with this opportunity. Ocala is filled with lots of special people always willing to go the extra mile!

The Pilot Club of Ocala is honored to be the proud sponsor of the New Compass Club of Gainesville. We hosted the Charter Ceremony and installed the new officers on October 4th and had many supporting Pilots from the FL District in attendance. This club is staring with 10 members (only 5 able to attend the Charter Ceremony) but actively looking for new members every day.

They are planning 2-3 Projects every month and their first project will be on October 6th - they are not wasting any time. They are excited to start presenting Brainminders and playing Brain-O around the city of Gainesville. The students agree that they were accepted into Gainesville as a temporary home for their college years and they look forward to giving back to this community. They want to pay it forward by leaving a Compass Club as their legacy for future students to be able to do the same. They were given 3 nails wrapped in green and yellow ribbons with a keychain attached including the Pilot Wheel, Anchor and Compass. This little gift signifies each of them being a needed nail used to build this club and incorporates all parts of the Pilot International Organization that they are now part of.

We are excited for these students and the service and love they will be able to share in their "temporary" community. Congratulations to the Compass Club of Gainesville!!

We had a great time at our September Bunco Party - largest group of attendees with many repeat friends coming back. We collected Arts & Craft Supplies for the Marion County Children's Alliance SKIP Program and once again our attendees shared their love to these children through these donations. We ended up with about 6-8 players that tied for winning 12 games each, so there were a few roll-offs to pick the final winner. Congrats to all of our winners of Bunco, Raffle Baskets and the 50/50 drawing. All of you made it a GREAT day and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next Bunco Party once we can secure a date!

PECANS ARE HERE!! They arrived today!

Feel free to stop by Holder Insurance 1635 SW 1st Ave, Ocala (Mon-Fri 8:30am - 4pm) to purchase your favorite flavors while supplies last. All 1lb bags are $14 each and they are DELICIOUS!!

We are patiently waiting on our Pecans to arrive this week and then we will be selling. We have 8 flavors this year all for $14 per lb. These make GREAT Christmas Gifts - so stock up before they are gone! We will be at the Ocala Downtown Market starting every Saturday in November, so come find us!! You can also purchase at Holder Insurance or PIP Printing in Ocala.
