Join us for the FREE opening reception of The Art of Arts in Health, a new art exhibit part of the Art in City Spaces initiative, and a celebration of the collaboration between AIHOM and The Arc Marion County, FL!

This exhibit elevates the voices of Arc clients by showcasing art made by Arc clients during weekly AIHOM visual arts workshops led by Artist Practitioner, Christopher Hershberger. Our arts programs offer Arc clients a space to grow, build their self-confidence, and express themselves through art.

Hear Us Roar III is a collaborative fundraiser between AIHOM and The The Arc Marion County, FL, where AIHOM artist practitioners Brandon Dull Music, Becky Baby, Dave Reinwald, and DWAW DeNaya Wilkerson Arts & Wellness share the stage with Arc clients for a moving one-night performance. Along with the show, there will be original paintings created by Arc clients during AIHOM workshops led by our Artist Practitioner, Christopher Hershberger, for sale!

We are excited to partner with HCA Florida West Marion Hospital to launch a new movement series at HCA Florida West Marion Hospital designed specifically for cancer patients, caregivers, and survivors - focused on healing, strength, wellness, and connection through movement.

This FREE Chair Movement Series will be offered on the 3rd Monday of each month beginning June 15th!

Clients at The Arc Marion County, FL created these fun paintings with AIHOM Artist Practitioner Christopher Hershberger during a recent weekly workshop. Aren't they great?!

Painting offers significant emotional, physical, and social benefits for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). As a form of creative expression, painting provides an accessible and non-verbal outlet for self-expression, communication, and processing emotions.

What if peak performance included creativity?

Before a pivotal NBA Finals game, Victor Wembanyama stepped away to sketch, using art to reset, focus, and recover. This is a great example of arts in health in action: supporting mental clarity, resilience, and whole-person well-being.

When Victor Wembanyama went to Gramercy Park to sketch a statue, it was more than just having fun in his free time. It was his process.
