Tonight, we had a handful of members attend the Marion County Federation‘s Fall Festival. We had a lot of fun participating in some arts and crafts, fun festival activities like sack races and two-legged races, and a carnival (and Kylie’s) favorite: face painting. Attending the events that the Marion County Federation puts on enables our members to create connections within Marion County’s agricultural community that are lasting, especially when new members step outside of their comfort zone and attend. Thank you to everyone who showed up this evening and congratulations to BLandon Austin for winning “Best Pumpkin”! 🎃💛

The alumni is half way to their goal with a week left! Don’t forget to enter to get your chance to win half a hog and help a student with their college/trade school journey! Special thanks again to HK Farms who graciously donated this hog! 🐷

We were graciously donated a hog by HK Farms to raffle off for our chapter's scholarship fund. Processing fees will be covered by Muddy Rivers Farm.
At the end of the year we give out two $1,000 scholarships, one to a senior going to college and one to a senior heading into trade. For the trade scholarship, that could mean going to a trade school or the start for their trade business.
There will be two winners. Tickets are $20 each or 5 for $75. We will draw the winners on October 26, 2026. Pick up day for the winners will be November 9, 2026. To buy tickets scan the QR code in the flyer or follow the link below:

Please share and help us reach our goal of covering these scholarships fully.

We had the SEYF steer weigh-in this morning. We are looking forward to how our chapter steer project will turn out, and how our exhibitor, Alex Goetzen, does this year!

Our chapter attended C**T this Wednesday, and what a fantastic way to include our upcoming leaders in our chapter! Our members participated in 4 workshops hosted by our state presidents. We explored the different tools that we can use to support and build up our community, how we aren’t limited to or defined by our roles in our hives, how communication is critical in every genre, and different ways we can better pilot our plane! We would like to specially thank our drivers for making sure we made it to C**T and back home safely.
