A Night of Renewal and Recognition at the Valley of Ocala Scottish Rite
The Valley of Ocala Scottish Rite held a memorable stated meeting this month, marked by both heartfelt recognition and renewed commitment to service. The evening opened with the presentation of awards to several Brothers whose generous financial support of the Scottish Rite Foundation has strengthened the Valley’s charitable outreach, educational programs, and long term stability. Their contributions—quiet, consistent, and deeply meaningful—reflect the spirit of stewardship that sustains Scottish Rite Masonry.
The meeting also celebrated the revitalization of the Knights of St. Andrew, the Valley’s traditional service unit composed of dedicated “Black Hat” Brothers. After a period of dormancy, the group has been reorganized with new leadership, a clear mission, and an enthusiastic roster of volunteers. The Knights outlined plans to assist with degrees, support special events, and provide a visible, energetic presence at Valley functions. Their return was met with strong applause and a sense of renewed momentum.
Adding to the evening’s enjoyment, the Ocala Elks Club prepared an excellent meal that set a warm and welcoming tone for the night. The presence of our wives and significant others made the gathering even more special, reminding us that the strength of our Valley is enriched by the support and fellowship of our extended Masonic families.
Looking ahead, next month’s stated meeting will feature the Valley’s observance of the Feast of Kadosh—one of the most solemn and inspiring commemorations in the Scottish Rite tradition. The program will highlight the timeless lessons of duty, moral courage, and the triumph of light over darkness, offering Brothers an opportunity to reflect on the deeper meanings of the Degrees and renew their personal commitment to the Rite’s highest ideals.
Together, the evening’s recognitions, renewed service, shared fellowship, and anticipation for the Feast of Kadosh underscore a Valley moving confidently into the future—honoring those who give generously, empowering those who serve faithfully, and strengthening the bonds of Brotherhood that define the Scottish Rite.
See everyone on March 2 for another great meeting!
