Miss Alayna Snider is our fifth 2025 Stephen Cole Postlewait and John Adam Griffin Oblong High School Scholarship winner to turn in her transcript and receive her $1,000 check. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Tiffany Snider. Alayna is working towards her masters degree, majoring in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and minoring in Agribusiness Agronomy. She plans to finish her two years at Vincennes University then transfer to Purdue University. Keep up the good work Alayna! Thank you to everyone who makes these scholarships possible.

On January 9th, Miss Ava Patchett was the third 2025 Stephen Cole Postlewait and John Adam Griffin Oblong High School Scholarship winner to turn in her transcript and receive her $1,000 check. Ava is the daughter of Jeff and Mary Patchett. She is attending Eastern Illinois University and majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in exercise science. She plans to teach locally in a small school. Keep up the good work Ava! Thank you to everyone who continues to make these scholarships possible in memory of Stephen and John.

On January 8th, Brandon Thacker was the second 2025 Stephen Cole Postlewait and John Adam Griffin Oblong High School Scholarship winner to turn in his transcript and receive his $1,000 check. Brandon is a first year apprentice for Local 157 Plummers and Steamfitters and working towards his associates degree through Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is the son of Chad and Dana Thacker and is currently working for his family farm in Chauncey. He hopes to work at marathon for Senco in the future. Keep up the good work Brandon! On January 6th, Cameron Davis was the first 2025 Stephen Cole Postlewait and John Adam Griffin Oblong High School Scholarship recipient to receive his $1,000 scholarship check. Cameron is attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale, working towards his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. He plans to use his degree to obtain a job in the engineering field, hopefully around home. He is the son of Adam and Lori Davis. Cameron currently works at Ward Chrysler in Carbondale. Keep up the good work Cameron! Thank you to everyone who continues to make these scholarships possible in memory of Stephen and John.

Haley brings strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting CCDA’s work throughout Crawford County. In addition to managing daily office operations and supporting community progrmas and initiatives, Haley also oversees CCDA’s social media presence—helping us share important updates, highlight community efforts, and stay connected with businesses and partners.
