Environmental Dashboard is designed to educate, motivate, and empower people to conserve resources. Whereas previous generations of humans lived in intimate contact with the natural world, North Americans now spend g

reater than 90% of their lives in buildings. A major goal of the Environmental Dashboard, therefore, is to reconnect people with the natural world by introducing a new form of feedback on resource-use and environmental quality. We are not just interested people turning off lights--we are interested in helping people to understand their decisions in the context of a larger system of resource-use. Media links:

Rory is a rising third-year studying communications. Meet our Summer '25 Fellows!

Frank K**i Appiah is a rising second year majoring in Computer Science. He is creating LED programming for our display in Oberlin's Science Center and helping deploy solar-powered air quality sensors. When he's not checking on digital signs in Oberlin, you can find him playing soccer or FIFA with friends.

Meet our Summer '25 Fellows!

Tashia Nyamunama ‘28 is a Computer Science and Global Health major, with a minor in Economics. This summer, she's developing tech for our upcoming Science Center display, while also interviewing students and alumni about environmental action on Oberlin's campus.
