SPRING 2026 TREE and SHRUB SEEDLING SALE!

The Kansas Forest Service and Kansas State University Extension announces that their annual Spring Tree and Shrub Seedling Sale will begin soon! Starting January 2nd, 2026 you can order your trees by phone - (888) 740-8733 or online โ€“ www.kansasforests.org NO MAIL-IN ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. You may pay for your order by cash, check or credit card. Shipping is planned for mid-March as the weather permits. This sale will end on April 30th, 2026. The holidays are approaching fast โ€“ please note the change of hours for all Twin Creeks Extension District offices for the 2025 holiday season. In coordination with Kansas State Universityโ€™s holiday employee appreciation leave, all Twin Creeks Extension District offices will be closed on December 25th through January 1st. Our offices will resume regular office hours on January 2nd, 2026. Please Note: Some courthouses in the district that have extension offices in them may also be closed on December 24th, please call ahead to be sure your office is open on that day. We look forward to continuing our service to the Twin Creeks Extension District in the new year! Happy Holidays from Twin Creeks Extension District!

The ambassador program is a premier leadership opportunity for youth ages 13 to 18 (current 8th grade through senior in high school) passionate about agriculture and willing to complete a one-year term.

The program focuses on connecting youth with their local agricultural industries, exploring the richness and diversity of Kansas opportunities, developing ag advocacy skills and fostering educational mindsets, and increasing access to career and post-secondary experiences within the agriscience world.

Participation/membership in 4-H is not required.

The Northwest Kansas 4-H Agricultural Ambassadors complete training to develop leadership and teamwork skills used to promote and educate communities about agriculture. This includes leading educational experiences for youth and attending ag events, such as the Kansas Youth Ag Experience trip.

Youth interested in being a part of the ambassador program must complete an application, submit a leadership resume, a cover letter, three letters of reference, and complete a virtual interview if selected as a finalist. Applications and supporting documents are due by January 15th and may be submitted to your local K-State Research and Extension office.

CHANGE OF OFFICE HOURS โ€“ Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th.
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday - all Twin Creeks Extension District offices will be closed Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th, 2025. All offices will resume their normal office hours on Monday, December 1st, 2025. For office hours for Wednesday, November 26th please call ahead.
