Wonderful Wednesday was filled with connection, creativity, laughter, and meaningful moments at our Memory Cafés in Amherst, Avon Lake, and Wooster!

Amherst kicked off the day with peer support and exercise, exercise was generously sponsored by Amherst Manor. Participants then enjoyed a lively music engagement with Debra Rose, followed by a delicious lunch provided by Amherst Manor. The afternoon was filled with creativity during Art Expression, and everyone was delighted by special Pet Therapy visits from Sandy and Carly, bringing plenty of smiles and comfort throughout the day.

Avon Lake started the morning with Art Expression, where participants received adorable Father’s Day cards for their loved ones created by our Service Manager, Mary Anne. We were also treated to a very special experience thanks to Dillard’s, who provided hand massages and TLC time for both participants and care partners. Music Therapist Joy Rivera brought everyone together through the power of music, and Pet Therapy with Carolyn and Bella added extra warmth and companionship to the day. We wrapped up a wonderful morning feeling refreshed, connected, and grateful.

Wooster began the day with engaging music led by Bonnie Lowe, followed by energizing exercise with Danbury Senior Living. Lunch was generously sponsored by Smithville Western, and the afternoon was filled with fun and meaningful activities provided by Brookdale Senior Living, creating opportunities for connection, engagement, and enjoyment.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, activity leaders, therapists, and community partners who make these special days possible. Your generosity, dedication, and compassion help create welcoming spaces where friendships flourish, care partners find support, and participants leave with smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you! 💚

Local Fields Family! Our Youth and Adult Mission Teams will be departing on Sunday 6/21 and Monday 6/22. The youth have 20 participants and the Adults have 15 participants. Let’s bless them with some sweet treats! If you can bake some travel friendly, cookies or brownies for the groups to take with them on their journey, they would be so surprised and happy!

Please bring baked offerings to the church on Thursday during office hours 9-1 or to the Saturday service or Sunday worship services. There are no allergies but we do have one gluten free request so if that is your specialty, now is your time to shine!

Please package baked items with a specific label of what kind they are and if they are gluten free. You can drop off on Thursday to the Sanctuary entrance or the in the kitchen on Saturday or Sunday.

Terrific Tuesday was filled with laughter, connection, and gratitude at our Memory Café!

A special thank you to Mary Anne and Debbie for leading such an incredible day and creating a welcoming environment where everyone could connect, participate, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

We kicked off the morning with Improv Comedy Training led by Hiatt from the Mad Factory, bringing plenty of laughter and creativity to the room. We then enjoyed Music Engagement sponsored by Achieve Credit Union, with Pat McGuire, whose talent and energy had everyone singing along and engaged.

A heartfelt thank you to Foundations Health Solutions for generously sponsoring a fabulous lunch that was enjoyed by all. Following lunch, Debbie led an energizing Exercise Session, helping everyone stay active and moving, and we wrapped up the day with Peer Support, where friendships were strengthened and encouragement was shared.

Days like today remind us how powerful community can be. Thank you to our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and presenters for making this such a special experience. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and warmth in their hearts, and we are so grateful for each person who helped make the day unforgettable. 💚

What a wonderful morning with the Wellington Seniors! I had the pleasure of sharing information about our Memory Café program and spending time together enjoying some fun activities. We got creative painting with broccoli, shared plenty of dad jokes, laughed over sayings that kids use today without always knowing their original meaning, and celebrated National Candy Month with some sweet treats.

The morning was filled with smiles, laughter, conversation, and connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so enjoyable. We had a great time together! 💚
