Our very own Corey Marcum spent a good part of a week in Rogers, Arkansas at the Daisy National Competition. Daisy Nationals is unlike anything we have ever seen, with team qualifying, a very hard test on the first day worth 1/5th of your total score, and splitting the shoot into two days. Our girl managed to come in 20th out of 251 kids across the country! The team managed to come in 16th out of 51 teams. Congratulations to Corey and the Norton team on a very successful year. I for one couldn't be a prouder coach.

After a small delay this morning we are getting the flags out. With the rain and lightning that was coming through the area, we held our families off for safety reasons. So if your getting up wondering where your flag is, it's on its way! Happy 4th of July everyone!

Attention Shooting Sports Families:
Tomorrow is the 4th of July. Please plan on being at the Archery Building at 6 am to begin putting flags out. We need a minimum of 8 families/vehicles. We will begin pickup at 7:30 pm. We have some hammers, but bring your own if you have one. Please respond if you are planning on assisting.

Thank you again, Oberlin community, for another successful flag fundraiser. However, we have had an issue this year that we have never had in our 9 years of doing this fundraiser. We have had a flag go missing the last two holidays. I hate throwing out the "stolen" word without full information, but the first one was removed and the stake was taken as well. This holiday, the rebar was left, and there wasnt enough wind to take the flag off of the stake. Both were taken from different parts of Hwy 83. Please help us keep an eye on our flags. Thank you.

We will kick off our 2026 shotgun season Sunday, June 7th at 2 at the gun club east of town. If you are interested at all, come check it out. You don't have to currently be a member of 4h to compete! You can join under our team and compete through the season. We compete in trap, s***t, and sporting clays. Our shooters can compete in one or all. If you're kid has never shot but is showing interest in getting started, this team is a great way to help teach them a high level of shooting, plus we have a lot of fun doing it. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact coach Brent Stallman. We hope to see you Sunday afternoon!
