We're excited to welcome Steven Volk as a keynote speaker at the Community Peace Summit. 🎤 Steven taught Latin American history at Oberlin College for over 30 years and served 17 years as research and executive director of the North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA). A dedicated community advocate, he's spent over two decades in immigration advocacy and currently serves as Vice Chair of Oberlin Community Supporting Immigrants (OCSI). His honors include recognition from the Chilean government in 2001 for helping restore democracy in Chile, and the Carnegie Foundation/CASE Professor of the Year award in 2011.

Join us to hear his keynote on October 24: https://rotarydistrict6600.org/peace/

With heavy hearts, we’re sharing that the Heart of Rotary Weekend Foundation Dinner, originally planned for October 23, has been cancelled.

After careful consideration, the planning committee made the difficult call based on registration numbers. We’re grateful to everyone who had already committed to join us, and especially to our keynote speaker, Dr. Isabel C. Scarinci, whose story as a polio survivor and global health champion we were honored to share.

The good news: World Polio Day isn’t cancelled. We still hope you’ll join us for the Community Peace Summit on Saturday October 24 at LCCC’s Spitzer Conference Center. Register at rotarydistrict6600.org/peace. Rotary’s work to end polio doesn’t pause, and neither will we.

Thank you for your patience and your continued support. 💙
