I want to give a big shoutout to our amazing Oakville Little League! They’re running a fundraiser right now selling gorgeous flower baskets, and every sale helps keep the magic going at our fields.
Over the past year, this dedicated group has completely transformed the look of the ball fields—they’re sparkling clean, with shiny new backstops and fresh padding on the rails. It honestly makes our whole town feel like we truly take pride in our children and the future we’re building together. They’ve poured so much heart into this, and it will show every time our kids step up to play!
Let’s rally behind them! Grab a flower basket (they’re beautiful and make great gifts too), spread the word, and cheer on these incredible young athletes. Your support means the world to them and to our community.
Thank you, Oakville Little League—you’re doing such a fantastic job! 💛⚾

🚒 Halloween Safety Alert from the firefighters at GHFD1! 🎃
Halloween is here, and fog, rain, or early darkness can slash visibility on our roads. Did you know? Halloween is the DEADLIEST day of the year for child pedestrians. Children are 4 times more likely to be hit by a car on Halloween than any other night of the year. Remember to slow down and try not to be distracted. Keep your children safer by always adding glow sticks, reflective tape, or LED bracelets to EVERY costume (especially dark ones!)

Let’s keep the tricks safe and the treats sweet. 👻
