Operation Walk is a private, not-for-profit, volunteer medical service organization which provides free joint replacement surgery for patients in developing countries. was founded by Dr. Gerard Engh and is one of 12 teams, the original team having been founded by Dr. Lawrence Dorr at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. The typical team is composed of volunteer surgeons, internists, anesthesiologists & nurse anesthetists, nurses, therapists, and surgical technicians
