โˆŽ Ensure motorized equipment has proper spark arresters.
โˆŽ Secure trailer chains to prevent dragging on the roadway.
โˆŽ Sign up for emergency alerts with your local county.
โˆŽ Know where to find up-to-date evacuation information for your area.

During heavy smoke events, it's important to stay indoors and create healthy indoor air quality!

-Set up your air purifier in the room you spend most of the time in (such as a living room or bedroom.) A high-efficiency air purifier with a HEPA or MERV 13 or higher rating is best.
-Keep windows and doors closed.
-Run an air conditioner if you have one. Keep the fresh-air intake closed and the filter clean.
-Avoid activities that increase indoor pollution. Burning candles, fireplaces, cooking or gas stoves can increase indoor pollution. Vacuuming stirs up particles already inside your home, contributing to indoor pollution. Smoking also puts even more pollution into the air.

If you do not currently have a Grovpure air purifier and you live in Oakridge or Westfir, please call 541-782-3422.

Check out oakridgeair.org/smoke-outdoors for real-time air quality measurements. Text "Oakridge Air" to 541-543-2019 to sign up for smoke text alerts.
