We’re thrilled to see our town of Oakmont turned into a Hallmark movie set last night at the Oakmont Hometown Christmas Parade!🎄

We’d like to thank the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce who hosted an amazing event which officially kicked off the holiday season in Oakmont! 🎁

We’d also like to thank Santa & Mrs. Claus for magically lighting our community Christmas tree from atop one of our beautifully decorated Oakmont Volunteer Fire Department trucks (that wand of Santa’s was impressive!)🎅🏻

And, we’d like to recognize the Oakmont Borough for their fantastic drone show. What a wonderful way to cap off an awesome Oakmont night! 🐿️

Can you tell me the way to “Candy Cane Lane” in Oakmont, PA?!? 🎄🎁🎅🏻

As promised, our 49 brand new victorian-style LED lamp posts have been enhanced by our partners at Plantscape, Inc. Pittsburgh, PA with beautiful lit garland and 98 red & white candy-striped bows!

The response has already been amazing and they will look even more festive when nighttime falls!

The Oakmont Holiday Light Campaign committee would like to thank all of our amazing donors who helped us meet - and exceed - our $50,000 goal to bring our design plan to life! As you know, this is just the start and we plan to continue enhancing the holiday decor & lighting in the years to come!

Did you drive down the upper Boulevard yesterday and see something gleaming red, white & green? 🎄🎁🎅🏻

Then you probably noticed the beautiful and festive planters being decorated by Oakmont Holiday Light Campaign members in collaboration with Garden Club of Oakmont members as part of our efforts to “Brighten the Boulevard!”

We’re now just one day away before Oakmont residents and business owners alike will see downtown Oakmont and our town entrances decorated and lit up for the holiday season…..

Friday night is the “preview,” but make sure to join us at the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce and Greater Pitt tree service’s 60th Annual Oakmont Hometown Christmas Parade when Santa will light the town pine tree (at the post office). Oakmont will truly sparkle with classic holiday vibes! 🎄🎁🎅🏻

A lot has gone into the planning and executing of our brand new, classic holiday lighting and decor to “Brighten the Boulevard” this year! 🎄🎁🎅🏻

So, each day this week we’re highlighting a different aspect of the overall design plan - to be previewed this Friday night in anticipation of the Oakmont Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday!

Our fantastic lighting team from Pittsburgh Socialights of Carnegie have done a great job hanging lights all over Oakmont - including both entrances leading into town - to welcome residents and visitors alike this holiday season! 🎄🎁🎅🏻

A HUGE THANKS goes out to the guys at the Oakmont Volunteer Fire Department who came to the rescue and helped us and our lighting team from Pittsburgh Socialights to place our oversized holiday bow at the top of the post office tree! 🎄

We can’t wait for Santa to light this special tree at this Saturday’s Oakmont Hometown Christmas parade! 🎅🏻

It’s time to “Brighten the Boulevard!”

Today we’re starting to hang our brand new holiday lights and decor in Oakmont in anticipation of the Oakmont Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 18 sponsored by the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce! 🎁🎄🎅🏻

We want to thank Pittsburgh Socialights for helping us with wrapping lights on the train station, clock tower, lower boulevard trees and the post office pine tree!
