Pray with me as you start your week:
Heavenly Father,
Some are beginning this week with decisions that need to be made. We want to do what's right, but we don't always know what that looks like. You know the situations we're facing, and nothing about our lives is hidden from You (Psalm 139:1–3).
We need Your wisdom. You promise to give it generously to those who ask (James 1:5), so we're asking today. Teach us Your ways and lead us in Your truth (Psalm 25:4–5). Give us discernment to recognize what honors You, even when the easier choice is something different.
When we feel uncertain, help us remember that we don't have to figure everything out on our own. We can make our plans, but You establish our steps (Proverbs 16:9). Give us patience when the answer isn't clear and keep us from rushing ahead simply because we're tired of waiting (Psalm 27:14).
When we know what's right, give us the courage to do it. Help us be willing to follow Your direction, even if it means changing our plans. Let Your Word guide our decisions and shape the way we live (Psalm 119:105).
Thank You for caring about the things that concern us. We trust You with the decisions ahead and ask that You would guide us in the way we should go (Psalm 32:8).
