Wa Sung Community Service Club began awarding scholarships in 1957 to outstanding students of Asian descent graduating from high schools in the East Bay. Since then, over 800 scholarships have been awarded. Wa Sung members, family and friends are invited to attend this wonderful and inspiring event.

The Lincoln Recreation is set to start construction this spring! There will be NO Wa Sung Easter Pancake Breakfast during the construction time. We invite folks with young kids 10 and under to sign up for our Easter Egg Hunt at the Junk Boat at the Lincoln Square park on Easter Sunday morning.

Wa Sung held their first Annual Gala last night at HL Peninsula!
The Gala was emceed by KTVU anchor André Senior and 9yr old child extraordinaire, Juliette Leong (who played a violin piece for us!). Wa Sung honored and celebrated long-time Community leaders Dr. Weylin Eng and Gilbert Gong. We also had Lion Dance Me perform! Wa Sung also announced their 2025 member of the Year: Clayton Yukumoto!

Established in 1952, the Wa Sung Community Service Club was founded in the year of the Water Dragon, a sign known for wisdom, vitality, and
ambition. Today, Wa Sung marks its 74ᵗʰ anniversary as a nonprofit organization, continuing to embrace the spirit and characteristics of the Water Dragon. The club remains dedicated to serving the Eastbay through its mission – community engagement, scholarships and educational services,
driven by a passionate and enthusiastic volunteer membership.

• The evening will showcase a captivating lion dance performance on poles by LionDanceME.
• Enjoy a silent auction featuring crowd favorites, with a chance to win a trip to Hawaii for the lucky winners.
• Our special honorees are Dr. Weylin Eng (StreetFest International Stage) and Gilbert Gong
(Lincoln Recreation Director) for their outstanding community service.
