The Kiwanis Club of Oakland is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Oakland performs community service projects in Oakland and the San Francisco Greater Bay Area to help serve children. We sponsor Key Club and KIWIN'S, our high school community service and leadership organizat

ions in Oakland and Piedmont. And we award college scholarships to graduating high school students attending high schools in Oakland and Piedmont. If you are interested in performing community service and helping children, we encourage you to learn more about the Kiwanis Club of Oakland here on our page and welcome you to join us for a meeting. The Objects of Kiwanis are:

1. To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.
2. To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
3. To promote the adoption and application of higher social, business and professional standards.
4. To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
5. To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.
6. To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill. We are looking for dedicated volunteers and leaders to be a part of our club and organization. Everyone is welcome at our Oakland Kiwanis club. Please feel free to visit us at one of our meetings. The Kiwanis Club of Oakland proudly presents our College Scholarship Application for 2025.

This year, we are giving out more in scholarships than ever! Up to $18,000 will be awarded to each of our twelve (12) scholarship recipients based on academic performance, financial need, character, service to community, and leadership potential. Awards will be given to qualifying students who will be attending a four-year university.
