We’re celebrating Children’s Day with games, activities, and free toys for children, because every child deserves to feel celebrated, supported, and seen.

Join us Tuesday - Jan 6 for the 17th Annual Three Wise Men Toy Giveaway, a beloved Fruitvale tradition rooted in culture, joy, and generosity.

Families will enjoy free toys, hot chocolate, Rosca de Reyes, piñatas, music, community resources, and photo opportunities with the Three Wise Men, first responders, and community leaders.

We’re deeply grateful to and for spending time with Oakland families and sharing the heart behind our Light Up the Town pop-up holiday celebration.

After our Fairyland event was canceled due to weather, we pivoted in less than 24 hours - coming together with partners and volunteers to make sure families still experienced the joy, meals, toys, and care they deserved.

Hearing directly from parents, kids, and our own in this story reminds us why this work matters so much. Thank you for helping uplift these voices and shine that light a little farther. 💛

💛 Gratitude, resilience, and a whole lot of love.

We were absolutely devastated when our Light Up the Town at Fairyland celebration had to be canceled due to weather. After months of planning, we couldn’t imagine telling families that the joy was simply… gone.

So we did what community does best…we pivoted.
In less than 24 hours, with the help of our incredible partners, volunteers, and supporters, we came together to host a pop-up holiday celebration for Oakland families.

✨ Free hot meals
🎁 Free toys, tech, books and gifts
🎶 Entertainment & activities for the kids
💛 Smiles, laughter, and holiday magic

This moment was only possible because of the people and organizations who showed up, gave generously, and believed that Oakland families deserved a celebration—rain or shine.

🔥🎁 Oakland Fire showing up for the kids. 🎁🔥

Every year, the Oakland Fire Fighters and the Oakland Fire Random Acts of Kindness crew go above and beyond — collecting toys, spreading cheer, and making sure Oakland kids feel the love during the holidays.

Their support helps us adopt families, reach hundreds of kids, and deliver joy where it’s needed most. Pulling up to the firehouse and loading Knucklehead Santa’s whip never gets old — it’s pure Town magic.

Endless gratitude to the firefighters who serve our city year-round and still find time to give back in such a big way. This is Oakland at its best. ❤️

💚 Duck Pond love, delivered. 💚

Each year, we’re lucky to partner with Lois and the incredible Duck Pond Preschool community, who show up in the biggest way for Oakland families. Together, they help us adopt families at Options Recovery and make sure the holidays are filled with warmth, dignity, and joy.

From classrooms full of heart to trunks full of gifts — this is what community care looks like. 🎁✨
