🤝 Circle of Service, in partnership with the Peace Corps Each year we select a diverse cohort of talented high school seniors as Fellows and provide them with opportunities to live and work in Brazil, Ecuador, India or Senegal during a bridge year before college. During

their Global Citizen Year, Fellows are immersed in everyday life in a community a world away from home. Living with a host family and contributing to local projects in fields like education, health and the environment, Fellows break down the barrier between “us” and “them”, and between the classroom and the world. Through ongoing training and coaching from expert Team Leaders, Fellows develop the confidence, skills, and sense of purpose that set them up for success in college – and beyond. Beyond this, by forging lifelong relationships with host communities and a network of like-minded peers, Fellows discover that Global Citizen Year not just about the year -- it’s a fellowship for life. What's your academic track? 🚂

Take Action Lab is an immersive learning program that faces global issues head on. Our research-backed curriculum and apprenticeships with local organizations will help you explore your place in the world, decipher the systems you aspire to change, and figure out how to get started.

Students who participate in the semester-length Take Action Lab: Civic Innovation in Cape Town, South Africa, will be eligible to earn 12 academic credits through the University of Pittsburgh. To be eligible, students must submit both the Tilting Futures application and the University of Pittsburgh application and be admitted by both institutions.

As our February 2026 Take Action Lab class officially wraps up their term, they are shifting from action to processing. After weeks of immersive learning and community building in Cape Town and Penang, taking the time to pause and reflect is where the real growth solidifies.

POV: when art meets systems thinking

Last Friday, our students visited the for a powerful Learning Connect. The gallery is a masterclass in sustainability built with eco-conscious practices and a mission of "Art for Peace." Seeing firsthand how art can be a catalyst for peace and sustainability helps our students understand that global change starts with the stories and values we choose to elevate.
