Congratulations to everyone that worked on the passage of the Peer Certification bill. California was 1 of 3 states that had not done so up until this point.
What is a Peer Specialist?
A peer specialist is a person who lives with a mental health conditions, or someone who has "lived experience" who is playing an active role in their own healing/recovery, and supports others in their healing/recovery.

To our cherished Youth In Mind community, we are excited that 2020 grows us into 16 years of grassroots, youth and community-led mental health leadership. We are also at a point in our organization where we’re taking a WellReserve to realign our efforts and structure. We are not running programs until further notice, yet will host some reunion gatherings to celebrate each other and make new decisions on what happens beyond 2020.
