There are five tickets left for tonight's Spray Paint & Sip!

This special Paint & Sip invites guests outdoors to experience the August night sky through the bold, expressive style of space graffiti. Using spray paint techniques and guided instruction, participants will create dynamic cosmic scenes inspired by shooting stars, glowing trails, and the energy of the Perseid Meteor Shower.

Astronomy Presentation: Perseids & Cosmic Storytelling
Learn about the Perseid Meteor Shower, one of the most anticipated celestial events of the year, and how to spot meteors in the night sky. Guests will explore the mythology of Perseus, the hero behind the Perseids’ name, and discover fun facts about prominent August constellations, including Perseus, Aquarius, and Sagittarius, connecting science, storytelling, and the visual language of the stars.

What a week!

From July 29 to August 2, over 2,700 visitors filled Chabot for Space Week featuring a full lineup of scientists and researchers who brought real-world space discoveries to life - from microbes in space to the future of human exploration.

Whether you joined us in person or cheered us on from afar, thank you for being part of it!

The wonder doesn't have to end now that Space Week is over. Weeks like this, the free viewing nights, student programs, and historic telescopes that run all year only happen because of people who give a little each month.

There's more moon joy still to come! We’ll be hosting a live viewing of the 2026 Total Solar Eclipse on August 12, featuring NASA’s live coverage of the eclipse as it travels across Europe. Learn more about the timing on our website: https://chabotspace.org/calendar/2026-total-solar-eclipse-live-stream/

Alongside the broadcast, guests can participate in solar-themed activities and connect with our Science Associates and volunteers to learn more about this rare celestial event!

Thank you for your continued support of Chabot! We are excited at all the ways we can continue to bring our community together to learn, explore, and bring the universe just a little bit closer.
