A Sista's Touch

A Sista's Touch A Sista’s Touch is a tax exempt (501c3) public benefit nonprofit corporation established to cultivate and celebrate success of Sistas in our communities.

A Sista’s Touch is a tax-exempt (501c3) nonprofit public benefit corporation formed in the State of California in January 2017 to serve the Oakland and greater Bay Area communities. The mission of A Sista’s Touch is to nurture and acknowledge the positive personal and professional influences of African American women of all generations in the community; with a primary focus on our teen and adolesc

ent girls. The aim of A Sista’s Touch is three fold: Edify, Elevate, and Celebrate Excellence. Our platform is to provide fundamental resources to Edify in areas of new interests, to offer necessary support to Elevate in pursued interests, and to cultivate communal success by Celebrating Excellence.

💜 Keynote Announcement | Loving Me First Summit 💜

At A Sista’s Touch, we believe confidence is built through preparation.
Through our A Sista’s Always Prepared programs, we create spaces where our Queens in Training grow in confidence, strengthen their voice, and step into who they are becoming.

✨ Loving Me First is the next step in that journey, designed to support high school girls as they build self-awareness, leadership, and preparation for the realities of the world around them. We are honored to welcome Ashante Taylorcox, Founder and Executive Director of You Are More Than as our Keynote Speaker for the Loving Me First Summit, on April 11th, at CSUEB.

As a survivor and advocate, Ashante leads with both lived experience and purpose, creating spaces that uplift, educate, and empower young women to recognize their worth and walk confidently in who they are.

Her voice reflects an important part of our mission, to not only empower, but to educate, uplift, and protect. Because when our girls are confident, informed, and supported, they are better prepared for whatever the world may present.

Loving Me First Summit is a FREE in-person event for high school girls. Due to limited space we welcome those who are committed to attending.
