Our 4th annual benefit concert is back — an evening of music and storytelling honoring communities across race, language, and immigration status. Experience a powerful lineup of local BIPOC musicians as we explore themes of journey, justice, and liberation.

This year holds special meaning: IM4HI marks 25 years of this work. We look back with gratitude at our roots and the leaders whose courage and vision made this moment possible — and we look forward, together, to the future we’re still building.

2026 Pilgrimage/Encuentro: Becoming Beloved Community / Construyendo una Comunidad Amada🧡

Join us for a weekend of unity with the local communities in Kern County — lifting up the lived experiences and demands of people impacted by immigration detention and their families. Now in its fifth year, this pilgrimage brings together families impacted by detention and deportation, faith leaders, community members, and organizers to bear witness to the harms of detention and to practice what it means to Become a Beloved Community.

Acompáñanos en un fin de semana de unidad con la comunidad local del condado de Kern, en el que daremos visibilidad a las experiencias vividas y las reivindicaciones de las personas afectadas por la detención migratoria y de sus familias. Ahora en su quinto año, esta peregrinación reúne a familias afectadas, líderes religiosos, miembros de la comunidad y organizadores para dar testimonio de los daños que causa la detención y para poner en práctica lo que significa «Convertirse en una comunidad amada».

Please join us for an Interfaith Public Memorial and Procession on Wednesday, August 5th in SF at 11am to honor the many lives recently lost at the hands of ICE.

Program Schedule and Locations:
11 AM – An Interfaith Public Memorial will be held at 630 Sansome St., San Francisco. Please wear black.
12 noon - A procession will commence to 333 Bush St., San Francisco.

At the same time, we lift up people in California who have survived similar brutal attacks; in particular those detained in California City CoreCivic and their campaign for Hugs Beyond Bars. Please add your name, sign and share the petition calling on ICE and CoreCivic to allow contact visits at California City Detention Center. Petition signatures will be delivered to local, state, and federal officials.

Gratitude to Faith Leaders and Volunteers for leading this ministry of support.

Faith groups form ‘sacred corridor’ outside San Francisco immigration court.

“The court has been the site of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests as the agency has targeted those awaiting or exiting their hearings. Tuesday’s corridor was St. Ignatius Church’s shift as part of an all-day show of support organized by the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity. The organization tries to have a member present outside the court every hour it is open through rotating shifts organized on Signal group chats. The court has two operating courtrooms and handles immigration hearings for those detained or seeking asylum from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. “- SF Chronicle

Our faith traditions say, Do not kill and take the life of another. Our faiths cherish peace, calling us to resist the empire and care for the vulnerable. Across our faith traditions, we share a common moral vision: Every human is sacred and deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

We are heartbroken and deeply saddened by the unjust killings of Johan Sebastian Guerrero, 26, who was fatally shot by ICE in Maine July 13th, and Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, who was shot in Texas on July 7, 2026.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and communities of Johan Sebastian Guerrero and Lorenzo Salgado Araujo as they navigate these devastating losses. Guerrero was a hardworking and devoted father of a 3-year-old daughter, and Salgado was a loving husband, father of 3, and a valuable member of his community.

We uplift the demands from the families and leaders in Houston and Maine and urge you to contact your Member of Congress. They are calling for:
1. A full and independent investigation into Lorenzo’s and Johan’s killing.
2. The immediate release of the three men detained with Lorenzo, including his brother, and protection for all witnesses from intimidation, coercion, or deportation.
3. An end to local collaboration with ICE in EVERY city and state they occupy.
