Tracy House TRACY House: Transgender Resources and Advocacy Center for Youth TRACY House is named after a beloved staff member of AIDS Project East Bay named Tracy Bumpus.

Sponsored by AIDS Project East Bay (APEB), TRACY house is part of the Mermaid projects - a set of programs aimed at supporting transgender and gender non-conforming citizens of Oakland.

TRACY House is historic; the first of its kind in Oakland, a drop in center specifically created for the transgender and gender non-conforming citizens. Tracy was transgender rights advocate and warrior woman that past away suddenly in 2011.

General information

TRACY House offers free counseling, a drop-in center, job preparedness work-shops, advice on transitioning from culturally competent staff, access to transition services, support groups, and AA/NA groups. Additionally, TRACY House has free HIV Testing, full service primary medical care and HIV Care, ADAP, appropriate referrals, HIV prevention education, transgender and culturally sensitive counselors.
