All Tied Up ALL TIED UP is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) committed to the education and support of male youth. All Tied was founded in 2016 by, Armand Carr.

Carr has over 17 years of experience in radio as an on-air personality and producer. He is currently the host of The Quiet Storm on 102.9 KBLX. Armand’s goal is to leave a legacy in his local community that transcends entertainment. As an Oakland native and a father, he has a vested interest in the welfare of our young people. We are deeply honored and grateful to receive this Commendation from the Alameda County Assessor’s Office in recognition of our work through All Tied Up Academy.

What began as a passion for empowering young people has grown into a movement focused on mentorship, education, communication, and creating opportunities for youth and families throughout Oakland and the Bay Area.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the impact of the students, parents, educators, community partners, and supporters who have walked alongside us on this journey. Every workshop, every conversation, every podcast, and every young person who discovers their voice reminds us why this work matters.

We are also humbled to be recognized during the Indie Soul – BAM Music Awards and for supporting the arts, creativity, and the spirit of dreamers everywhere.

Thank you to Alameda County Assessor Phong La and the Alameda County Assessor’s Office for this acknowledgment. We accept this honor on behalf of every young person who has trusted us with their story and every community leader working to create positive change.

Two outstanding young leaders from McClymonds High School in Oakland visited NVIDIA today, and both walked away with summer jobs.

Proud moment for our young Gentlemen at All Tied Up Academy!!!

They recently had the opportunity to connect with Greg Brockman , President, Chairman & Co-Founder of OpenAI (ChatGPT)

We were honored to attend a special Catalyst Event at The Hidden Genius Project Headquarters in Oakland as part of the OpenAI Academy Program. Our students gained hands-on exposure to AI tools like ChatGPT Codex and built their own applications alongside industry leaders.

Big thanks to The Hidden Genius Project for creating and sharing spaces like this for our youth.

Our ATU ACADEMY podcast students didn’t just learn about media, they became the media.

📍 Long Beach
Our students hit the road and served as official media for the CCSA conference, capturing stories and conducting interviews. With over 2600 educators from all around the country in attendance, their professionalism, and confidence was on full display.

📍 Los Angeles
Then it was straight to the heart of the industry.

🎧 They were interviewed on Sway in the Morning, sharing their voices, perspectives, and experiences on a nationally respected platform.
And yes, they stepped inside Def Jam, where they interviewed label executives and artist, asked real questions, and gained firsthand insight into how the music business actually works behind the scenes.

This is what access, exposure, and opportunity look like when young people are trusted, trained, and empowered.
