WHP is a progressive in school social, emotional, and s*x education program that aims to teach young folks how to be better humans, both to themselves and to others. OUR VISION:
We are creating a more just and resilient future where individuals realize their unique utility and take ownership in thought, action and accountability towards bettering the whole human, whole community, and whole planet
. Create safe space for inquiry and narrative
2. Empower youth to challenge social constructions
3. Cultivate respect and appreciation for one’s body and the bodies of others
4. Engage in frank, honest, and open conversations about s*x and s*xual dynamics
5. Establish a school community-wide commitment to the above mentioned goals and vision. OUR MODEL:
1. In School Youth program taught 3-5 days per week in a gender mixed classroom, lead by Whole Human Educators
2. Parent Night Classes taught 2-4 times monthly with age appropriate curriculum that complements that of the youth program
3. Whole Human Educators are trained by the WHP over the summer and belong to regional cohort of facilitators, participate in annual conference
4. School Faculty Training - school staff participate in Professional Development at start and midway through year. This is taught by WHP facilitator and then student participants during mid year
