Happy Monday!

With County & State Fair creeping up on us, there are a few couple reminders for those who are either showing livestock or wanting to help out with making the fair run smoothly!

If you are showing, please make sure you make your livestock entries by June 15th for County Fair & July 1st for State Fair. (I will be sending out an email with those instructions, if you are needing help with those).

Riverside FFA will be working the foodstand during the Pott. County Fair and we will be needing members & their parents to help make it run smoothly. Below will be the link to sign up for those, as we will need at least 2 adults to help during those time.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our annual FFA Banquet! We are so grateful for the members, parents, supporters and community members who helped make the night so special.

It was a great evening celebrating the accomplishments, hard work, and dedication of our FFA members throughout the year. We appreciate all of the support you continue to give our chapter and can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Today, these 9 FFA members traveled to Leon for the Central Trail Livestock Judging Classic! They had 8 classes of livestock (swine, cattle, goats & sheep) to judge along with 2 sets of reasons.

These students have grown so much in the past two weeks & we are hoping for another great day at Mount Ayr on Wednesday!

Last day of FFA State FFA Convention was one to remember...these kids are amazing!! 💙💛

⭐️ Owen was a member of the courtesy corp through convention.
⭐️ Jackson & Adaline received their Iowa FFA Degree!! That is a huge accomplishment & they were 2 out of the 830 across the state.
⭐️ Ethan & Jackson were delegates in the business session this morning.
⭐️ Rex participated in the Iowa FFA Band.
⭐️ Grant & Dane participated in the chapter knowledge test.
⭐️ Callee & Rylei participated in the Greenhand knowledge test.
⭐️ Jersey, Sutton, Nolan & Brock participated in the Poultry Evaluation CDE and received a Bronze rating.
⭐️ Chase, Wyatt, Colton & Ella participated in the Ag Communications CDE and received a Bronze rating.
⭐️ Daizy, Sage, Kysa & Colton participated in the Ag Sales Team CDE and received a Silver rating.

Over the past two days these students have participated in workshops, sessions & networking with others across the state. I am so proud of their hard work this year & can't wait to see where this upcoming year takes us!

Day 2 of State Convention was busy!

⭐️Ella, Colton, Wyatt & Chase completed parts of the Ag Communication CDE, with their final presentation tomorrow.

⭐️Emma participated in the Talent Show & sang the National Anthem during the 1st Opening session (that's a big deal...in front of 7000+ people!!)

⭐️Madison & Sophia received a gold on their Chapter exhibit.

Tomorrow will be full of more updates, pictures & results!

Day 1 of the 98th Iowa FFA Conference! 💙💛

FFA members participated in the Meals of the Heartland service project & ended the night with supper & fun.

We are ready for tomorrow!

Today, 11 FFA members traveled all the way to Oskaloosa to attend the Next Generation Judging Contest!

Members had to judge 8 classes of livestock, 1 class of questions & 2 sets of reasons. This takes a lot of work & dedication in order to participate & we are so proud of them. Up next we have Central Trail on April 27th & Mount Ayr on the 29th!
