Bay Area Birth Justice Fair & Forums

Bay Area Birth Justice Fair & Forums What is the goal of this edition of the Bay Area Birth Justice Fair? This is per Amnesty Internationals recent groundbreaking study.

Our spring fair’s focus is the raising of funds to to support the amazing work of Nurse Midwife Mary Koroma the DIrector of AAPDEP, and her courageous work in providing midwifery care and training to the women and children of Sierra Leone, Africa. Her organization is run by Africans for Africans – and is a role model of African Independence and self empowerment. At the same time – this fair will

address the fact the the United States of America is number 40 in number of countries whihc lose the most mothers and babies in childbirth! Why is it that this country, which on the face of things has all the resources in the world, has such horrible mortality outcomes for all mothers? And why is it that consistently – in all states of the union, and across socio -economic lines, African Americans lose the most mothers and babies? This fair will address these issues – and suggest a solution! Our goal is to educate, uplift, and empower all who attend. We are looking for :
