Formed in 2012, The Oakland Eastside All-Star Ensemble represents a diverse cross-section of Oakland’s most talented young musicians. A non-profit organization co-founded in 2011, the 10-month program was created with Oakland music scholars in mind. Our culturally competent curriculum adheres to the National Standards of the Arts. A list of the genres in the curriculum include: jazz, hip-hop, insp

irational, standards, Latin Jazz, world beat, soul, Banda, rock, R&B, Mariachi. Imagine yourself among 24 of Oakland’s most exceptional young musicians, as a cultural ambassador for our dynamic communities.
