The mission of CURYJ (pronounced Courage) is to interrupt the cycles of violence and poverty by motivating and empowering young people that have been impacted directly and indirectly by the criminal justice system to make positive changes in their lives and prepare them to become the community leaders of today. CURYJ believes that youth and young adults are the experts on the issues effecting thei

r lives and need to be involved in developing the policies that impact them and is dedicated to providing training and technical assistance to elevate youth voice and power.

Earlier today CURYJ & Several organizations based in Oakland including stood in solidarity against the injustice & ex*****on of another houseless man here in Oakland, CA. This hits home because another life was stolen by OPD in our community the Fruitvale, and the lack of transparency has become a pattern. So we pulled up to their home to stand up against murder!
