🇺🇸 REMEMBERING. HONORING. SERVING.
In September, members of the Rotary Club of Oakland/Franklin Lakes had the privilege of welcoming Dennis Letts, a retired U.S. Secret Service agent and Ambassador for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Dennis shared his extraordinary firsthand account of September 11, 2001, when he was working at the World Trade Center. Shortly after arriving that morning, he experienced the devastation of the attacks unfold around him. The incredible actions taken by Dennis that day were vital in evacuating many people to safety.
For his courage and actions on 9/11, Dennis received the U.S. Secret Service Medal of Valor. Today, he continues to share his story to honor those who were lost and to ensure that the sacrifices of 9/11 are never forgotten.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller and supports America’s heroes — fallen first responders, Gold Star families, catastrophically injured veterans and first responders — while helping ensure that we Never Forget September 11, 2001.
We are grateful to Dennis for sharing his experience, his perspective and his continued commitment to service. His story is a powerful reminder that courage, sacrifice and helping others matter— especially in the most difficult moments.
