67 Sueños 67 Sueños, Youth-led program supporting undocumented/mixed status youth in Oakland & across fronteras

Founded in 2010, 67 Sueños cultivates youth organizing and power building with high school-aged youth from neighborhoods directly affected by high rates of violence, mass incarceration, and poverty. Through the 67 Sueños program youth gain the knowledge and skills to cultivate relationships they need to address the social injustices that impact their lives. We support youth in finding their agency by teaching them to trust their own process, reframing their stories as a source of power and enlightenment rather than as a source of shame and fear. Youth are able to raise their voices as leaders and as a result, the activities they engage in make their communities safer and more equitable places to live. Youth use artivism such as muralism, poetry, and digital media to reframe negative narratives and uplift community resilience, power, and solidarity.
